Our center is dedicated to supporting families and children by offering accurate diagnoses, personalized treatment recommendations, and ongoing guidance.

The uncertainty in recognizing that your child may have a medical or behavioral issue, but not knowing what it is, can be extremely stressful and challenging. Somos Psychological is here to help ease your worries and offer guidance on the best way to help your child meet their potential.

SERVICES

Diagnostic Assessments

We conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations using a combination of standardized assessments, direct observation, developmental history reviews, and interviews with caregivers. Our goal is to provide an accurate diagnosis and a comprehensive understanding of each child's strengths and challenges.

Parenting Support and Education

We believe in empowering parents with the knowledge and resources they need to support their child's development. We offer parent support and educational materials to help families navigate the challenges of raising a child with autism. At Somos Psychological, we are dedicated to helping children with autism reach their full potential and lead fulfilling lives.

What to expect

Preparing for the Appointment

Before you arrive, our office management team will confirm with you the date, time and location of your appointment. You will be requested to do some initial paperwork.

You may download your initial paperwork and fill it out prior to coming to the office. If you’d prefer to fill it out in our office, please arrive 15-20 minutes early.

When You Arrive

It’s a good idea to plan to arrive a few minutes early for your appointment to complete forms if you haven’t already done so.

When you enter our offices, make yourself comfortable while you wait. The doctor will greet you and invite you into one of our private evaluation rooms. Your comfort is important to us so please speak up about what we can do to make you comfortable.

Your Session

During your session, you will meet with one of our highly experienced doctors. This evaluation will be a combination of parent/caregiver and child interview, observation, and play.

Questions will pertain to family, parent, and child medical history, developmental milestones, cognitive functioning, behavior, communication and socialization, daily activities, home environment, education, mental health, and childhood adverse experiences.

We ask that parents bring with them all pertinent information relating to their child’s health and current functional status. This may include reports from doctors, psychologists, and social workers, screening results, school paperwork and individualized education plans (IEPs), and documentation regarding any previous diagnoses.

Payment

We proudly accept the following payment options:

  •  Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP) Insurance
  • Care Credit

We also offer self-pay. Please contact the office for pricing and more information.

Payment can be made before or at the end of the session.
