Yan Somoza, PhD, is a licensed Clinical Psychologist whose career has focused on providing culturally competent and patient centered psychological services and evaluations. After completing his Bachelors in Psychological and Brain Sciences at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, he received his PhD in Clinical Psychology at California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles. His pre-doctoral training includes work at UCLA, and his post-doctoral training includes work at LAC + USC Medical Center.
Dr. Somoza, in his practice as a psychologist, has cultivated long-term professional relationships in his community and used evidence-based psychological assessments to develop individually tailored treatment plans that identify strengths and areas for development. Before moving to desert, he was a consultant with various clinics in and around the greater Los Angeles and opened his private practice in Beverly Hills.
Since moving to the Coachella Valley, Dr. Somoza has continued following his passion – offering individual assessments and psychotherapy, delivering training and supervision to providers and staff, and helping to develop programs, particularly collaborative care and integrated behavioral health programs. He has worked with patients of all ages, but now specializes in the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in children and adults.

Genesis Flores, a native of the Coachella Valley, has dedicated her life to serving her community. Inspired by her nephews who have autism, Genesis pursued a BA in Psychology from California State University, Fullerton, with a focus on supporting children with autism. As a devoted mother of two, she channels her personal experiences and passion into advocacy work and community service, striving to make a positive impact in the lives of children and families touched by autism. Additionally, as a mother, she is deeply interested in child development education, further fueling her dedication to supporting children's growth and well-being. Genesis's unwavering commitment to this cause reflects her compassion, dedication, and deep-rooted connection to her community.
